Sascha Mora
Certified Jikiden Reiki Practitioner, certified in Western Reiki, and certified in Jin Shin Jyutsu.
Sascha Mora has been a lawyer, mediator, and has held various management and general counsel positions with non-profits. She has a Juris Doctorate, is a licensed realtor, has served on the City Planning Commission, and has received awards and recognition in her work. She understands the stresses of modern life. In her personal life, she has studied and practiced healing arts in order to balance her own energy, including Reiki, Jin Shin Jyutsu, Qi Gong, Yoga, and Ayurveda.
While she has always meditated and done her own style of energy healing personally, Sascha began studying Reiki in 2015. She first studied western Reiki, and then, wanting to dive deeper into the traditions and culture, began studying and teaching Jikiden Reiki, which is the traditional Japanese Reiki. She is certified in both, and is a Shihankaku in Jikiden Reiki, certifying her to teach.
In furthering her studies, Sascha has traveled around the world–to Buenos Aires for a Reiki Congress, to England to receive energy clearing among the quiet, ancient presence at Stone Henge, and to Halifax to meet Tadao Yamaguchi, the President of the Jikiden Reiki Institute in Kyoto. Tadao Sensei’s mother was Chiyoko Yamaguchi, who learned directly from Chujiro Hayashi, who learned from the founder, Mikao Usui. It was an honor to feel the presence of his lineage that he has passed on to his students.
Sascha brings her various techniques to her practice, helping people find relief from their ailments and pains through her work. She is excited about her latest endeavor to bring low cost Reiki to musicians and culture bearers in New Orleans. This is a 2021 project in conjunction with the New Orleans Musician’s Clinic. It is exciting to be helping those who have brought so much art and healing music to New Orleans.
Sascha is constantly learning and adding to her repertoire of knowledge in energy healing and related fields. She enjoys studying other cultures that embrace the natural world, hoping to learn from their practices, including Celtic and Irish cultures, the “Sami” people, and indigenous people in this country. She appreciates the opportunity to help others in their journey towards balance and fulfillment by helping them balance their energies.
Originally from New York, the child of Latin American immigrants, Sascha now lives in New Orleans, a city with a rich energy field, attracting creativity and spirituality. She has lived in New Orleans for over 25 years, and has embraced its traditions. She is a Muse, a Babydoll, and engages in a myriad of creative and spiritual pursuits in her adopted City.
